EXPRESSING LOVE IN RELATIONSHIP WITHOUT GETTING INTO SIN

I’ll like to begin with how best I love to introduce myself.

My name is Adesewa Greg-Ighodaro. A lot of people know that I loooooove to call my name. And one of the reasons is that God gave me a new surname that always reminds me that He is very proud of me.

When God gave me my Husband, I knew and understood better, the depth of His love for me. And so I am excited to be writing on the title “Expressing Love In Relationship Without Getting into Sin”.

I’m going to start from the relationships I got into before I got married.

I started getting into relationships roughly, and at a very early age. Part of why this happened was because I felt I was not enough. I did not personally know my value. I didn’t even know what having value is. I was young, just finished from an only girls’ school and thought I needed a boyfriend to make my life more spicy or fun.

So, there was this very fine guy that used to come play video games around the place where I was working as a secondary school leaver. I can’t remember how he asked me out right now but we started ‘dating’.

That was the beginning of trouble.

 And I want you to get something from this.

If you are yet to discover who you are as a person – an individual, you have no business thinking about a relationship, not to talk of asking God for a wife/husband.

Secondly,

If you are yet to ask God or hear God (through His Word) tell you why He created you and what He created you for, abeg no go near relationship (which means there’s no part for you yet in having a purposeful relationship as intended by the making of our divine nature)

The reason the issue of identity recognition is key, is because, until you know who you are, you will respond and attract any single rubbish. You will see rag and you will call it riches. You will see riches and you will call it destiny. You will see destiny but you will run from it because you can’t even recognise it.

Until Adam was created and given a purpose, Eve was not presented to him. And before Eve came on the scene, a purpose was already in position, waiting for her to occupy it. In the sense that God saw Adam needed a companion, help and completer. However, we see that because she did not see the need to understand her purpose or the reason God brought her on the scene, she doubted her worth and traded it for immediate gratification as presented by the serpent.

It is the same with falling into any kind of sin in a relationship.

An idea and picture of who you are puts a cap to what extent by which you can go in the Spirit and when you are faced with trials, troubles and temptation.

On the other hand, let us look at the life of Jesus.

Although born in a human body for a divine assignment, Jesus knew, deeply understood and walked in the consciousness of His heavenly identity, that when the devil presented Him with varying options, He had enough spiritual strength and stamina to wade off the enemy’s schemes and tactics.

Infact, He knew who He was so much, that He told the enemy throughout His stay on earth to back off.

If you will not fall or get tempted to the point of getting dragged into sin, you must know who you are and know it well. That when they wake you from sleep, you spit it out like fire.

NOW, HERE’S ANOTHER THING TO NOTE

Asides from your identity or personality. Because a love relationship happens between two people, you MUST also know the identity of your intended (or already) partner. You may not fully comprehend it, but at least be knowledgeable about the person’s life in God.

Being sure of who you are is not enough to proceed into any kind of relationship. I personally do these for people who come into my life.

You must know who the other person is. You must ask them about themselves. Listen to their conversations with you and others, You must be able to discern their daily processes and dissect who they are and if their personality fits into the picture God has given you.

However, here’s the caveat. You should not go making decisions based on one sided observations. You must ask the other person what God has told them about themselves. Take note of it. And then go to God who created them and ask God, “Who is this person?” I asked God about my husband when he showed up. I didn’t just say, “God, is he the one?” I asked God what His destiny was, because I don’t have time to waste or even space in my heart for heartbreak. It’s too costly.

One of the reasons it’s easy for people to fall into sin in relationships is because we have a truckload of lazy Christians who are not ready to dig deep to gain a wholesome view of the situation at hand and the personality or destiny involved.

So to itemize the three basic significant order identity tests again;

  1. Ask the person to tell you who they are and who they see themselves to be;
  2. Ask the person to tell you who God told them they are and possibly show you where they documented it;
  3. Ask God about His purpose and plans for the person as an individual.

Then these responses will play a role in determining if they are fit for your own picture or not.

THE NEXT THING I’LL LIKE TO TOUCH ON IS THE PROCESS BY WHICH SIN HAPPENS

Please get this – Sin is not always spontaneous.

There is always a process that projects and produces sin.

People don’t just do things

People don’t just lie

People don’t just kiss

People don’t just smooch

People don’t just have sex

It’s all a process.

One thing always leads to something.

It only begins with a thought, or a suggestion, or a wrong statement, or being in the wrong environment.

The bottom line is, no one just falls into sin.

And with love relationships, it can be more strenuous emotionally because all your emotions are shouting on your head even the next person sitting close to you can almost tell.

So, how can your relationship survive this emotional and sexual strain.

  1. Be open about your position on sexual or emotional sin. Don’t assume that the other person knows you are a ‘spirikoko’. Open your mouth to say ‘you no go do’ (that means, you are not interested). Someone once said, assumption is the lowest form of knowledge so don’t assume that the other person will know. Save yourself the heartache and have an open and honest conversation.
  2. Limit your conversations about emotional sin. Something about our minds and thought patterns is that the more you speak about something, the more the tendency is for you to do that thing. So as much as you can, limit your conversations around doing ‘future things’ together. There’ll be times to talk about it but it can’t be most of the time.
  3. Avoid being in environments that makes it easy for sin to occur. Whether it is you telling a lie or you falling into your significant other’s arms for succour, just make sure that you purposely are not found in places that suggest sin can thrive
  4. Very importantly, have an accountability friend, coach or mentor that you can share your struggles with. Most of the time, when we are under these kinds of teachings, we make really strong resolutions but when the hook comes to shove, we find it hard to implement what has been heard. This is where the place of accountability comes in. Get someone with whom you could discuss these things on a consistent basis so they can help you handle the pressure right.
  5. Watch what you watch. I always say that your eye and ear gates are very important for you to control, because whatever you consume can become your reality. So, be careful to have a selective diet of audio-visual content.
  6. FLEE EVERY APPEARANCE OF EVIL. There are some times that you may not be able to execute any of the things mentioned depending on the situation. PLEASE RUN when you see that it’s like sin wants to happen. Don’t try to test your strength. Don’t let the devil borrow you for 1minute. RUN AWAY.

The Bible says there is no temptation that we will be faced with except ones that we can bear and even those ones, there is always a prepared way of escape.

Don’t stand for counselling when you are meant to run.

The last thing that will happen when you run is that you may fall to the floor but it is better to fall and be bruised than to fall into that temptation and be decreased spiritually.

Without mincing words, there is also another level of sin you must watch out for. It is the sin of disobedience. For anything to become successful, there is a secret ingredient that makes it work. When you get into a relationship, ask God about the secret to the success of that relationship. Know your consecrations. Decode the guiding principles for your relationship to thrive.

You must note that your consecrations may not necessarily be a known sin. It might be something that is common and generally acceptable but if you do it, it becomes sin to God and now creates a ripple effect of trouble.

God is the good Father. He is faithful and always wants the best for us His children. Sin is not from Him. Our choices are what produce a fruit of sin in us. God does not test us with sin. We have instructions to follow and teachings like this are to guide us further into truth. So, the next time you are thinking that the struggle is too much, ask God to engrace you but also run away from the sin that stares at you.

To your best life in marriage,

Cheers.

YOU CAN OVERCOME THAT SICKNESS

Sicknesses are not normal; they are strange forces from hell, and they are out to cripple your joy, steal your finances and cut short your life and destiny. You must stop them from stopping you!

Sickness is of the devil! At the root of every sickness of the devil. God does not want you sick and deficient in your health. He wants you to prosper and be in sound health. Anything contrary to total health is contrary to God’s will. Stop managing that sickness, it is not God’s design for you. Anyone that tells you that sickness is normal, is only lying. Sickness is a stranger. God did not create it for your body. Therefore, you can react against that stranger called sickness.

No matter the name; Malaria, Typhoid, Gonorrhoea, High Blood Pressure, Staphylococcus, HIV/AIDS, Cancer, whatever the name; it is a stranger. It is not God’s plan for you. The origin of sickness is sin; so there are demonic forces behind every disease and sickness that people suffer. Sicknesses are not normal; they are strange forces from hell, and they are out to cripple your joy, steal your finances and cut short your life and destiny. You must stop them from stopping you!

Jesus is the only solution to that sickness. Phil 2:10-11 says; “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Every sickness has a name; and that name bows to the Lordship of Jesus! You need to react in holy anger against that disease that killed your parent, and is now hunting to cripple your life.

No matter how long you have been in that sickness, “at the name of Jesus every knee must bow today”. Stop celebrating and publicizing the negative medical reports you have been told. Stop declaring your hardships and the sorrows and the losses you have suffered due to that illness. Today, is your day of liberty. Start declaring what God’s Word says. Command the stranger to bow to the Name of Jesus. Call that dirty demonic sickness by its name and evict it from your life by the Power in the Name of Jesus. Receive your total healing now in the Name of Jesus.

Your victory over sickness begins with surrendering your life to Jesus. Jesus cannot dwell where there is sin. You need to put all sin away and be born again; so that the Name of Jesus will work for you and bring you complete healing today. Say the Prayer of Salvation from your heart;

“LORD Jesus, I am a sinner. I believe you died for me on the Cross of Calvary. Have mercy on me and wash me clean with your Blood. I repent of all my sins. I confess you as my Lord and Saviour. From now, I am born again. I am a Champion”

Congratulations! Now you are a child of God! I command that your total deliverance from all sickness is released unto you now in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen!

GOD WANTS YOU TO BE RICH

Over the years, people have thought that being a good Christian means living in poverty; but this is a lie from the pit of hell.

God wants you to be very very rich!

Ps 35:27 says, “…Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant” God delights in your prosperity. He wants you full of true riches, the type that no occult group can give you. God knows that you need money. He wants you rich; healthy and wealthy. He wants you to have plenty money and not waste it on sickness. He wants you to have a sweet marriage with lovely children. God also wants you to live long and sleep peacefully at night. He wants to give you joy and satisfaction, the type that the world cannot give.

Whatever is not good in your life, is not God’s plan for you; the devil is at the root of all evil you have ever experienced. God’s plan is to prosper you round about!

However, you are the only one that can allow God’s plan come to pass in your life. God cannot make you wealthy until you allow Him. He will not release His riches until you agree and align with His terms. Whatever you seem to be enjoying outside God will one day fade away; it is only Jesus that gives everlasting riches, without sorrow. You must do His will for His riches to be lavished into your life.

Matt 6:33 says; “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” God is saying, “I will add riches and all other things you desire to you, only MAKE ME FIRST IN YOUR LIFE”. The key to God’s everlasting riches is to Seek Him First. Make God your priority. In all you do, let God be your focus. Stop living a fake life, put sin far away from your life and business. Live a righteous life. Publicly declare that you belong to Jesus. Stand up to His agenda first, regardless of surrounding pressures. Put God and His Kingdom first on your daily agenda; and He will bless your life with His true riches. I see you swimming in the blessings of God from today, in Jesus name. Amen.

A righteous life begins with surrendering your life to Jesus. You need to put all sin away and be born again. Say the Prayer of Salvation from your heart;

SEPTEMBER 2019: THE LORD IS MY DELIGHT

Welcome to the month of September 2019. Our focus is, THE LORD IS MY DELIGHT, Psalm 37:4– “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires” NLT.

In August 2019, the LORD declared His Covenant Blessings to us in Genesis 12:2- “I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make your name famous, and you will be a blessing to others” NLT. We have started experiencing overflowing blessings in all areas of our lives and in this Commission. However, I must let you know that God’s covenant has two parts; the Promise and the Requirement. I often say that, the key to having God’s promises activated in your life, is to throw yourself into His Requirement.

God’s focus in this month of September 2019, is His requirement for activating and sustaining His blessings in our lives. God is saying, “Make me your Delight”. Two words in Psalm 37:4 are worth considering – “Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires”. Delight is singular while desires are plural. God is saying;

  • Make only Me first in your life, above all other things, Matt. 6:33;
  • Put me in the place of First Priority, other things can follow;
  • Do not muggle me up among your important schedules; I do not want to be “one of” the important matters to you;
  • Take me out of the competition in your life. Give me First Place.

God is equally saying;

  • I know you have desires;
  • I know you have aspirations, prayer requests, goals and achievements to attain, with deadlines;
  • Do not worry about them, I will settle them, Matt. 6:33;
  • I will answer all your prayers: spoken request and heart-thoughts.

Abraham had to prove to God that He was first, above Isaac and even the promised covenant. God might have promised great things to you, but until you make Him first in your heart, your business, your family and all your involvements, you have not made room for His Covenant Blessings to flow in. Stop delaying His manifestations.

Only those who are jealous about God, enjoy His jealous moves.

The Church of God is in the Blessings Age, and only Covenant Practitioners will enjoy the blessings of God that adds no sorrow, Prov. 10:22. If you do not want to be a spectator, stop being just a proclaimer of His blessings, be a doer of His Covenant Requirement. Make God first in all things. Attend to His Business First;

  • Win souls first;
  • Pay your Tithe first;
  • Commit to Kingdom matters first;
  • Obey His instructions first;
  • Serve His Gospel needs first;
  • Attend to His servants needs first; etc.

He knows you have needs; He will settle them all. He has promised us, and He can never fail. Make God your passion and your delight. God bless you greatly.

This is a decision you must make. You must vow to put God first in your life. You must vow to MAKE God your absolute Priority, above all other things. It takes a declared decision to follow through. But the first decision to make is to decide to MAKE Jesus Lord and Saviour over your life. If you have never made this decision or if you need to restore your relationship with God, say this Prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, have mercy on me. I believe in you, Come into my heart. From today, I am born again. I receive Power over sin and satan. I claim Championship over the works of darkness. Amen!”

Congratulation. Keep winning in Christ Jesus. God bless you.

JUNE 2019: PURPOSE

Welcome to June: our Month of PURPOSE. Romans 8:28 – “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. My heartbeat is that God’s purpose for you shall be delivered in grand style, in Jesus name.

There is so much about the term Purpose, and over the years, so much has been taught on this Divine Principle. However, there are certain Dynamics of Purpose that are necessary we understand and apply, in order to maximize our walk with God and harness the best of this season.

  • Purpose is God’s plan for Man.

Purpose is the reason why God created you. No human being is alive just because of the principle of procreation that exists through intercourse between two matured people. You are not a mistake. You may have been a result of rape or unwanted pregnancy but you are not a child without purpose. Before God, you are here for a specific reason. God has a plan for you.

  • Purpose is Specific.

I have heard many Christians say, “my purpose is to serve God” or “my purpose is to do God’s will”. This may be true but your purpose is much more than that. I mean, that’s God’s collective purpose for humanity. However, there is a specific purpose and plan of God for you. Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”. Jeremiah was purposed by God as a Prophet, to the nations. Clear and specific. What are you purposed for?

  • Purpose Must be Revealed by God.

Late Dr Myles Munroe said, “if you want to know the purpose of a thing, go to the manufacturer of the thing”. We may perceive and sometimes, come close to conceiving what God’s plan for us is, but no one will ever be specific about God’s plan for you until He reveals it. God is our Maker, our Designer, our Architect. His thoughts are deep and far finding. He has imagined good for us; we cannot afford to assume what His purposes are, but be willing to ask Him and wait on Him, till we receive clearly His agenda for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts (plans, purpose) that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end”. Whatever is wrong in your life, is not God’s plan; and in most cases, man’s neglect of God’s Divine Purpose is the primary reason for the hazards that have befallen humanity and the world we live in. Get back to God, and seek Him for His specific purpose for your life.

  • Your Purpose in a Statement

I am sure you know that the purpose of a pencil is to write, and the purpose of the traffic light is to control traffic, ensure orderliness and avoid congestion. Just as you can define these in statements, your purpose is also specific, and must be understood in a statement. You should be able to define the essence for your existence is a statement. Jesus purpose is revealed in 1 John 3:8 – “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil”. Very Specific and in a statement. Apostle Paul’s purpose is also revealed very clearly in Acts 9:15 – “… Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel”. These men, in all their greatness, had purpose in one statement and clear terms. Little wonder, they had it clear about what to do and what not to do. Life becomes clearer when you have received Purpose in a Statement. Go and sit with your Manufacturer on this, until He reveals your entire purpose in a statement. This forms your Life Mission Statement.

  • Purpose Charts the Course of your Life.

No matter how far you have come in a career or line of duty, the day you discover purpose, and you choose to walk in God’s plan; your entire life will take a New Turn. Your purpose will determine where you go, where you live, who you marry, what ideas and investments you accept and those you reject, and so on. Apostle Paul’s purpose was first, “…to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel”.  So when He first went to Jerusalem to preach, he was rejected, because that was not God’s purpose. Purpose creates your path in life; and because everyone’s purpose is different, discovery and walking in purpose makes you an original and not a counterfeit. Men of purpose are not carried away by the quick successes of others. They have clarity, and are thorough. Purpose makes you clear and establishes you on the sure path of destiny and success that God has fashions for you.

  • Purpose Brings Restoration

After all the years Apostle Paul wasted serving the devil, when he aligned with God’s purpose for his life, he achieved greatness and still finished strong. He said in 2 Tim 4:7 – “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”. No matter how far you have gone in your selfish plans, no matter how far you have gone from God, the moment you RETURN to God’s purpose for your life, a restoration of all that you have lost is activated, and God begins to make “…all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose”. Rom 8:28.

Purpose makes life Good! God’s Thoughts and Plans and Purpose for you are all Good! The problems in your life are results of straying away from Purpose. There are many Christians who have met Jesus, but have never taken time to discover the reason why He saved them: His Purpose for them. Matt 7:21 – “Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven”. At the end, what will count would not be just church attendance and participation, but our total commitment to doing His specific will: Purpose. God has a plan for you! Discover it. Align to it! Stay on it! It is the Sure Path.

As you walk in God’s purpose, June 2019 will usher in restoration of all things you have lost. Expect June 2019 to be Good All-round for You. Every bad and evil case in your life will begin to bring good for you. You will not hear evil reports anymore. June 2019 is destined for your good. Hallelujah!

The first thing to do to align with God’s purpose is to accept His path and offer of Salvation, Jesus Christ. Receive Him into your life, confess and turn away from all form of sin, and begin to live the New Life that pleases God. To accept Jesus, please confess this Prayer from your heart: “Lord Jesus, I am a sinner and I repent of my sins today. I believe you died and rose again for me to live above sin and satan. I accept you as my Lord and Saviour. From now, I am born again, I am a Champion”.

Welcome to the Kingdom of God! Please inform me about your salvation, send us a message here. We have resources that can help you grow in faith. God bless you. Arise!

MARCH 2019: I AM AN ELECT

Happy New Month. Welcome to March 2019; our Prophetic Focus for this month is I AM AN ELECT, Romans 11.5-6. I am certain that God has been good to you since the beginning of this year. So, please celebrate Him for His mercies and goodness.

Many times I like to see God from the angle of an Investor who always earns from His investments. I mean to say that, humanity is an investment, and though the world seems to be wallowing in sin, God can never loose all His investments (humanity) to hell. The increasing rate of crime, corruption and violence across the globe is proof to the Scripture that says, “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people…” Isa 60:2a. But the later part of that Scripture affirms that God always wins. It says, “…but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee” Isa 60:2b. Get this straight; no matter how wayward the world becomes, holy people will always walk the streets of the earth. God will always have those of us who He keeps and preserves for His Kingdom. Oh Praise God. This is the basis for our Election.

Divine Election is God’s appointment flowing from His undeserved mercy. Isa 65: 9 (NLT) says, “I will preserve a remnant of the people of Israel and Judah to possess my land. Those I choose will inherit it, and my servants will live there”. Hallelujah! We are definitely in a season of global judgement. God is destroying the works of evil and workers of iniquity; and He is starting from His church. Destruction looms at the door of evil person, association and organizational structure that conforms to Babylonian system. But all shall not be lost. God has Elected some of us! Hallelujah! He has chosen us. He is preserving us from joining the sin and gross darkness of the end time. Why? Because God cannot loose out! His mercy has found us. Praise God!

THE FOUNDATION OF HIS ELECTION IS MERCY.

THE PURPOSE OF HIS ELECTION IS DOMINION.

THE TOOL FOR HIS ELECTION IS GRACE.

3 Major Things to Give Attention to;

We are Elects by His Grace: Our anchor Scripture for the month, Rom 11:5, says, “Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace”. As it was in the days of Elijah where the LORD preserved 7000 remnants who refused to bow to idolatry, so God is releasing Grace in this season for a few to Stand for Jesus in this end time, Stand Out of the crowd and Remain Outstanding unto the end. I believe you are one of us that Grace had found. Hallelujah! Welcome to the Triumph of Grace. Rom 11:6 says, “And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace…” Get this straight, “GOD is the One Keeping Us from Sin! It is an Election not a product of any man’s good works.

God is the One Choosing His Remnants: As many that call on His Name, He saves. God chooses those who are available. The devil wants you to believe everyone is committing that sin. No! There is Grace to live above it. Are you available for His Election? First accept that it is possible to live above sin as an elect, then Yield to His Grace. Confess today, “Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, have mercy on me. I believe in your Saving and Preserving Grace. I a yield to you from now. I am born again and would never return to sin and darkness”. Wow; Now you are an Elect; Welcome to the Kingdom of Light! Please contact me to inform me of your Salvation; Click Here.

We are Elected for His Service: We are saved to serve God. Isa 65: 9 (NLT) says, “I will preserve a remnant of the people of Israel and Judah to possess my land. Those I choose will inherit it, and my servants will live there”. Our Election is for Dominion and Kingdom Service is the platform for dominating over the earth. If you do not serve God, the Grace of election is frustrated. Become useful in God’s Hand and in His House. You can serve God with us, contact us for more information on this. From today, your light will begin to shine and your dominion is established with proofs in Jesus Name.

I admonish you to use the attached prayer points to keep yourself fervent on the Altar of Supplication. Download Prayer Points Here. Keep winning and God bless you. Arise!!!
